Promontory™ Sleepers are high performance railroad track systems engineered from Hi-Strain™ Precast Organic Concrete without prestressing.

  • Available for Class 1, Amtrak line, transit, and light rail
     

  • Lighter than conventional prestressed concrete cross ties
     

  • Dimensions are similar to wooden cross ties
     

  • Uses VULCAN™ BARS basalt reinforcing, no corrosion, no conductivity
     

  • Resiliency similar to Oak—durability greater than conventional concrete
     

  • Impervious to moisture and liquids
     

  • Fireproof
     

  • Uses same attachment hardware as conventional concrete ties
     

  • Available with precast foundations designs
